Diego Maradona has been filmed slapping a journalist who allegedly winked at his ex-partner.
The 53-year-old angrily confronted the reporter as his children watched from his car.
He called the man an "idiot" before slapping him in the face.
The cameras then show the former Argentinian footballer getting back in his car before driving off.
It has been reported the journalist winked at the mother of Maradona's son - his ex-partner Veronica Ojeda.
The family had been celebrating Children's Day at an event in Buenos Aires.
Maradona has courted controversy throughout his career.
He used his other hand to score a goal that helped knock England out of the 1986 World Cup.
Eight years later he was sent home from the World Cup in USA after failing a drugs test.
In 1998 he was given a suspended sentence for shooting journalists with an air rifle.
Maradona has also made headlines for cocaine and alcohol abuse.
