World Cup 2014: Argentina Defeats Netherlands in Penalty Shootout, Advancing to Final to meet the German machines

Argentina converted all four of its penalties starting with its leadoff man, Lionel Messi. The Netherlands missed two, by Ron Vlaar and Wesley Sneijder.
In contrast to the other semifinal, in which                             Germany hammered Brazil, 7-1, this game lacked                incident and ended scoreless. After 120 minutes,                          Argentina had just six shots on goal and the Netherlands        three. The Netherlands will face host Brazil on Saturday in the third-place game
